Overview

The Atlanta Braves and The Cordish Companies have reached an understanding for Live! at the Battery to anchor The Battery at SunTrust Park. Live! at the Battery will open along with the new SunTrust park next Spring. Live! at the Battery follows other Cordish professional sports anchored districts including XFINITY Live! at the Philadelphia Stadium Complex in partnership with the Philadelphia Flyers, Ballpark Village in partnership with the St. Louis Cardinals, and the recently announced Texas Live! in partnership with the Texas Rangers. Live! districts nationwide welcomed over 50 million visitors last year and are respected as among the leading dining and entertainment districts in the country. Live! at the Battery will include 50,000 square feet of space featuring iconic concepts and will extend into the Battery plazas as well for larger festivals and events. Concepts will include a two-level Sports & Social tavern which will feature a 40 ft in diagonal high definition LED screen as its back-drop and social games and activities of all types throughout the venue, PBR Bar & Grill (Professional Bull Riders) which has signature locations ranging from Las Vegas to Philadelphia, and an acclaimed chef-driven concept which will be announced shortly. Live! at the Battery is being designed by the internationally acclaimed Jeffrey Beers and Associates and will feature two brand new concepts being specifically created for The Battery.

 

Maintain the buildings and grounds of Battery Live (District), directing staff and overseeing the upkeep of equipment and supplies. The facility manager makes sure the buildings and grounds are maintained, which entails daily and weekly cleaning schedules as well as determining and scheduling repairs renovation projects, waste reduction improvements and safety inspections.

 

The Facility Manager is in charge of a budget and must negotiate with outside vendors for supplies, repairs and other measures. Oversee's groundskeepers, maintenance workers, and custodial staff.

Responsibilities

Skill and Requirements

  • Analyze information and work with management to make decisions based on needs and budget.
  • Manage District’s preventative maintenance program.
  • Facilitate repair and maintenance items.
  • Involved in strategic planning and day-to-day operations.
  • Liaison with tenants of the District.
  • Communicate with staff regarding tasks and responsibilities are completed correctly and efficiently.
  • Quality control of District.
  • Ensure cleanliness, upkeep and safety standards are maintained.
  • Motivate and coordinate employees, as well as deal with any disciplinary issues that may come up.

Qualifications

Some college or advanced vocational training plus six years of experience in general building maintenance/ and/or construction and supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.  Professional certification and license if required by law. 

 

This job requires ability to perform the following:

  • Frequently standing up and moving about the facility.
  • Frequently handling objects and equipment to maintain the facility.
  • Frequently bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing and crawling.
  • Carrying, lifting, pulling or pushing items weighing up to 75 pounds.
